Welcome To Tru-Impact

True Support. True Growth. True Impact.

Tru-Impact is a Rochester, NY-based tutoring and mentorship organization dedicated to helping local students unlock their full academic and personal potential. We pair caring, qualified tutors and mentors with young people throughout the greater Rochester area to provide personalized academic support alongside genuine, consistent mentorship. More than just a tutoring service, Tru-Impact is a community committed to building confidence, strengthening skills, and fostering the kind of relationships that help students thrive both in and out of the classroom. Rooted in Rochester and driven by a belief in every student’s potential, we’re here to make a true impact — one student at a time.

Services That We Provide

Comprehensive physical examinations and specialist care, delivered by a team that treats every patient like family.

What a Session Looks Like

Currently offered Monday – Thursday, 4:30pm – 6:00pm

Academic Coach

TRU-Impact coaches are local college students committed to community service and making a difference. Learners are matched with coaches who have specific subject expertise.

Impact Coach

Each student receives an Impact Coach — a mentor who works as the liaison between the school administration, Academic Coaches (tutors), parents, and community resources.

Learners

Learners range from 2nd to 12th grade. Around each student's school schedule, we provide one-on-one attention that isn't always available to them, plus a remarkable mentoring program for every learner.

How We Impact Families

TRU-Impact understands the significance of the family unit in a student's success. Our Zoom "Family Night" brings family members, learners, coaches, and staff together to socialize, play games, and connect — and we help families navigate community resources along the way.

OUR APPROACH

How We Work

A simple, relationship-first process — designed around the young person, not the paperwork.

1

Connect

We meet the youth and family through school, court, or community referral.

2

Assess

We listen first — identifying strengths, needs, and the right program fit.

3

Match

Youth are paired with a trained mentor or program suited to their goals.

4

Support

Ongoing check-ins, family engagement, and milestone tracking over time.
